It was difficult to drag ourselves out, but we did venture into Valencia for the day to the Oceanogrphic experience. This was well worth visiting and we did a bit of shopping in the large centre there. This is not the usual touristy destination, but there is lots to see and do. It would be helpful to speak a little Spanish, but we muddled through on the friendliness and goodwill of the locals (and with a little help from a translation app). Great holiday, would definitely return.
