Ken and I are retired posties, we hung up our delivery bags and moved to Northern France permanently in 2017. We had always wanted to be somewhere warmer and finally made the move South in 2022, when we began refurbishing the old stable. Our gite is the perfect base to explore the region with its fantastic countryside dotted with vineyards, pine trees and mountains. Its great to just put on some comfy shoes and go for a wander, the countryside is on our doorstep. The big draw for us is that we are around an hour from the Mediterranean sea with beaches at Narbonne and Gruissan which we adore - you can't beat a day at the seaside! Our other passion in life is french brocante and we've used this knowledge to furnish the gite with some interesting and quirky pieces. We're always happy to share the places we go to search out bargains We love the Aude, it has so much to offer, including a UNESCO world heritage site at Carcassonne, so you can get busy or just kick back and relax in the peace of a traditional French community
