Villa Anita
Nice size, well positioned in a quite area in its own grounds. Inside the rooms are large enough, there is air-con in lounge and master bedroom, also a ceiling fan, but only a ceiling fan in 2nd bedroom. The sheets were VERY old and although clean were "ingrained grubby".and the king size bed is 2 singles held together.
The kitchen is ok, plenty of pots and pans and plates cutlery etc: but distinct lack of oven proof dishes,Just 1 oven tray. I had to wrap tin foil over the oven shelf to give me a second.
No kettle was provided and only 1 plastic jug which I had to use to boil water in the microwave.
Outside it is very spacious, BBQ was useable but the shelves are missing.
Swimming pool is very small, one depth, but enough to cool off. If you have several kids it would be too small.
The spar shop is a 5 min walk as is a lovely little friendly restaurant, where the food is excellent.
The beach is 5 mins further down the road, it is clean and sandy with rocks in the water. there are reasonable services inc a cafe/ restaurant.
The rest of the village is a 10 min walk continuing up hill.
Cala Murada is beautiful ! its quite, 90% of the tourists are German so the locals know very little English. The nearest large supermarket where the prices are reasonable and they sell fresh meat and fish is in Porto Colom.
Porto Colom is 15 euro each way by taxi.
Porto Christo is 25 euro each way.
Manacor is 35 euro each way.
If you want to get around a lot its worth renting a car, we decided taxi was easier as we planned on being lazy.
Joseph was very helpful throughout our stay, although communication was a problem.
