Superb property in a beautiful spot. The views are truly amazing (Vesuvius on a clear day from the balcony) The owners are exceptionally helpful and speak very good English - which was a relief to our rather useless Italian phrases. We had a hire car (athough admittedly driving anywhere in Italy isnt for the faint hearted) and as a family wanted a week to relax after the previous week in Rome & Sorrento, sightseeing. We took the ferry across from Naples (much easier than we thought) after booking online, and the property is about 10 mins drive upwards from the port. A very decent supermarket is within five minutes walk, the apartment kitchen is well equipped (and thankfully even had a kettle as well as a coffee machine!) plus a washing machine and good shower. Everything was neat and clean. We drove to the nearest beach, Maronit, but if you have children (or children that arent strong swimmers) then I would recommend heading a bit further a field to Chiaia Beach, which is near Forio - this is a beautiful soft sand beach and shallow waters ideal for snorkelling and chasing fish. We also headed to Sorgreto which has a natural spring for spa and wellbeing - this is free to get to, although is steep stairs down to the beach. It has a lovely cafe bar there and well worth the trip to experience this amazing natural thermal waters. I would also recommend the Ischia Port restaurants and shopping, although again, with children the walk back to the apartment is steep and we opted to get a taxi. The shopping streets are amazing and I would also recommend heading to the Castello Aragonese for a lovely half day immersed in history. The children loved some of the gruesome facts, and the views are incredible. In all - I would highly recommend a trip to Ischia and La Favola Apartment, we felt no pressure to get out and eat every night as the place was so well equipped and comfortable. I already miss not having my breakfast on the sun terrace!

The stunning view meant it was difficult to leave our lovely terrace each day. The apartment had everything we wanted although the single room is really only suitable for a child as it has no window. Noise at night from traffic and the next door dog was a bit of a bother but the fans in the bedrooms helped cut down the noise. Being in the centre of the village with neighbours going about their daily business and the proximity of such good eating places and supermarket made it an easy holiday. The friendliness and help from the owner who speaks fluent English was a great boon. Would we return to La Favola - Oh yes!

Lovely property with great views across the Bay of Napoli and Vesuvius. The owner, Dominico Buono, was most helpful on arrival and was available to answer questions during our stay. A very interesting and beautiful island.

What a great Island and villa and owner! The people are friendly and all the island has a village feeling ( we were worried about being close to Naples and its bad rep!) The village is out of the main tourist area but has a great supermarket with everything about 10mins away and there is a small bar, takeaway and a great pizza place with views to the sea, all in the village. The apartment is very, very good. Just as the advert, clean,good size rooms, TV and air conditioning- but what makes it ,for us, was the view and being able to sit on the patio and look out to see and the wonderful bay. Dominco was a great host- collected us and was at the end of the phone for any problems- he has a shop in the next village and speaks very good English. Highly recomended- goinf again soon!

We had a fantastic holiday and Dominico was very helpful and welcoming. The views from the apartment are stunning and it is easily accessible from the port by bus. We were disapointed in the standard of fittings and equipment in the apartment. There was not enough cutlery, cups and saucepans in the kitchen and the bed linen and pillows were old or worn. However, apart from this the apartment is well furnished and comfortable. We all enjoyed our holiday tremendously. The booking system was very simple and efficient.

Огромная вилла, нас было 6 человек и всем было комфортно , зона кухни очень вместительная, но терраса с восходом солнца над морем и видом на замок, на весь остров- это уже пол отдыха! Traduzione Italiano: La vista dalla terrazza - che rende la tua giornata! Ottima posizione, il porto è raggiungibile a piedi, se senza valigie è a 20 minuti a piedi, un supermercato è a 5 minuti. Enorme villa, eravamo in 6 e tutti erano comodi, la cucina è molto spaziosa, ma la terrazza con l'alba sul mare e la vista sul castello, l'intera isola è già metà del resto!

Il signor Domenico è gentilissimo, si è proposto anche di portarci le valigie al porto l'ultimo giorno permettendoci di passare libere la giornata senza bagagli. Il panorama dal terrazzo è fantastico e la casa grande e pulita.

Appartamento molto grande e spazioso con tutti i comfort disponibili con una terrazza spettacolare con vista sul mare di Ischia. Molto comodo ai servizi quali supermercato, tabacchi, bar, benzinaio e ristoranti... Proprietario sempre disponibile e gentilissimo in ogni momento.. Struttura davvero consigliata per una vacanza indimenticabile!!! TOP
