About

We bought this villa in 2007 and have been renting this villa since 2007, happily the guests who have stayed at our villa have recommended it to their friends. They say the photos do not do it justice! Many return year after year and have become friends. We added the private heatable swimming pool. We upgrade and replace all kitchen and bathrooms as necessary. We love sharing the villa with other families to enjoy. We fell in love with Guia and the Algarve on our first visit. Charming area but close to everything! The Portuguese people are so warm and friendly .......just delightful. I have a background in Pharmaceutical Sales and Retailing, previously owned our own business for over 20 years. Now retired, but a busy and adoring Grandmother to three.

Thank you so much .

More on Alcantarilha, Algarve Wonderful Holiday, no Lager Louts! Check the calendar when you come here to make sure you’re still in the 21st century. You are, but there’s just a chance that Alcantarilha is still residing somewhere in the middle ages. Sitting inland between Silves and the beaches west of Albufeira, this archetypal Moorish village is brilliant for a get-away-from-it-all holiday. Perched on a small hill, its narrow backstreets and terracotta-tiled cottages coil up to a whitewashed church. Spending time here is a bit like living in a time capsule. The pace is restfully old-fashioned. In the still of morning, old men amble between the cafes as if in slow motion. Women stand chattering on doorsteps. And the few visitors who discover this place soak up its sleepy charm over drinks at its rustic restaurants. But this place isn’t just about out-of-the-way charms. Alcantarilha has one big attraction – its Chapel of Bones. Next to one of its churches, this atmospheric place features a wall inlaid with 1,500 human skulls – it’s one soul stirring sight. One of Alcantarilha’s other perks is that you’re never far from some mainstream tourist attractions. When you and the kids fancy some fun, the Zoomarine park at Guia, with its dolphin shows, lies close by. Alternatively, head for the sandy bays in and around bustling Armação de Pêra when you crave a day’s sunlounging. Or make another kind of escape – into the cool, scented eucalyptus forests of the Monchique mountains to thrill at the stunning views.

What a Gem! This villa is perfect, this was Hugos first holiday abroad [ 11 months] The villa is superbly equipped for a family, new cot, highchair, sterliser, blender, bed guard, so child friendly. The children spent all their time in the pool, lots of inflatable to play on, the beaches are fantastic. The local restaurants were a gentle walk from the villa, they really welcomed our children. We Will be Back!! Brook Family. This will be our 3rd visit to this villa it really is perfection! I cannot believe we found it, we book it from year to year, the local area is gorgeous for walks, our husbands like a round or two of golf, it suits everyones tastes, a genuine home from home in a perfect spot. Fabulous restaurants in the village of Guia, spoiled for choice. We just love coming here, book early to avoid dissappointment! Denise,Roddy & Family

'Hi Eleanor, Just to say thanks for the villa - it was a really lovely place to spend time. The kids loved the pool and spent most of it on the inflatable dolphins [ we had one as well so an extra bonus to find one there!] The villa was lovely and we felt really well looked after by your agent, the cleaner, the pool cleaner and the gardener!'
'Thanks again for your help as well all went very smoothly with the airport transfer and the hire car.'
Sally and Family.
