Villa Adriatica is a wonderful place to stay. The photos are accurate. The home is palatial. There were 5 of us staying there - three singles and one couple. We each had our own private space, which was so nice, and there was plenty of room for us to hang out, on the terrace, in the living room, or at one of the many tables. I loved the views. In the morning, the sun rises over the Adriatic between the hills. In the evening you can catch the sunset in the other direction. You can see the sea, Montesilvano Colle and a church on a hill and there are views of Gran Sasso and La Majella. Fresh sea breezes, views of medieval hilltowns, sunrises and sunsets, what more could you ask?
The location was perfect for us. We became familiar with Montesilvano and it was a short drive down the hill to via Vestina, where we found great restaurants, a gelateria, a supermarket and a farmacy. It is also close to the autostrada, and not far from the beach in Montesilvano and the Tuesday market.
We were there for 2 weeks and I enjoyed every moment.
Our GPS got a little confused so we had some interesting rides through olive groves during our first few days, but after we learned our way around, driving up the hill to Montesilvano Colle or driving down to the town of Montesilvano became very easy.
Daniela was wonderful. She answered even the dumbest questions and got back to me immediately on every e-mail (unlike our host in Rome).
I cannot recommend Villa Adriatica enough. I miss waking up to my coffee on the terrace with the sunrise.
