Lovely apartment in a fantastic position, we stay in Rothbury every 6/8 weeks and usually stay in different cottages/apartments each time but would definitely return to H'yem, everything was clean, beds were comfortable and the position makes it very central yet quiet and peaceful

River View was an enjoyable place to stay for the weekend. It has been well furnished & decorated and is clean & tidy. The kitchen was a joy to use and the food items left for us were a treat, thank you. The views out the window across the valley are amazing & particularly good from the upstairs bedroom. Although about a mile outside Rothbury it's a pleasant, easy walk down into town. We enjoyed sandwiches from the bakery & ate one evening at the Turks Head. A couple of establishments mentioned in the guidebook are no longer in business. We found the accommodation quiet & comfortable although the beds were rather firm. We were disappointed at the lack of a shower in the en suite bathroom (although one is pictured in the photos) so the 4 of us had to use the shower in the downstairs bathroom. It'd be more of an issue if the house had 6 occupants. If you can cope with that, I'd definitely recommend River View as a place to stay.

The cottage is in a delightful location and has everything you need for a short or longer break. Spotlessly clean and a comfy bed and settee.The Foxes den under the deli is great for meeting locals and lovely beer. The Northumberland Arms does smart food and is very friendly. Both dog friendly too.

Lovely,warm, cosy cottage which was well equipped . The location was great with river walks and great food on the doorstep. We will definitely be returning.

Superb Cottage (our 2nd stay), very warm, comfortable and cosy, just like "Home from Home!" The Owner has thought of everything you might need including good clear instructions for working all appliances etc. Lovely setting looking over ancient packhorse bridge (now only pedestrian). Metres away from bus stop but good double glazing cuts out traffic sounds. Can't wait to our return to Riverside Cottage. Lucia & Warwick

This was the best self-catering property we have stayed in. Everything was first class. The kitchen had everything you could want, plenty of cooking utensils, lots of cups, glasses, cutlery. We were blessed with good weather and sat outside having our breakfast on several days. Overall it was just perfect and we will hopefully return in the future. Thank you/

Excellent, newly refurbished and well equipped in a lovely rural location. Great empty beaches and wild landscapes.
