The villa was lovely and spacious. The garden and large pool really made our holiday. It was difficult to drag ourselves out, but we did venture into Valencia for the day to the Oceanogrphic experience. This was well worth visiting and we did a bit of shopping in the large centre there. This is not the usual touristy destination, but there is lots to see and do. It would be helpful to speak a little Spanish, but we muddled through on the friendliness and goodwill of the locals (and with a little help from a translation app). Great holiday, would definitely return.

Relaxing week in Marina di Ragusa. Property a 3 minute drive to a large supermarket and 25 minute walk to the town centre and beach with an abundance of good restaurants and shops. Owners were easy to contact and responded to requests positively and quickly. The pool is large and well maintained with sun loungers and a couple of chairs.

Looks lovely from a distance but on closer inspection very tierd and in urgent need of a good spruce up inside and out and several aged appliances require replacing including an old toaster and cracked induction hob and poorly fitting fridge door. Pool unuseable as full of dead insects, nobody cleaned or maintained it in the two weeks we were there. Worn and uncomfortable sun loungers and dirty, stained garden furniture, so all unuseable. Various maintenance jobs required including various outside lighting. Even the building itself is very grubby and in need of repainting. On the whole, pretty run down and over priced for what we got.

Owner checked you in and out. Had to pay 60 euros for cleaning and electricity meter was read and you had to pay for electricity. Water very intermittent and seemed somehow linked to the electricity. When you ran the water the lights flickered. Kitchen sink kept getting blocked. The owner told us he lived behind. He was on the property daily, watering the grass, moving equipment (lawn mower) moving the food bin. Far to present when you want to relax in the middle of nowhere. The pool was excellent and the out door space was great. Good size property, a short car drive to the beach or a 30 min walk. Beach was lovely, unspoiled and the sea was like stepping into a warm bath and crystal clear. If you don’t mind the owner being around all the time then a great villa. The owner was very friendly, we just prefer not to have someone around hence hiring a villa in the middle of nowhere.

The villa is lovely, well equiped and spotless. What you don't see from the pictures is that the outlook at the back is an orchard. It is not overlooked and feels very spacious. Omer and Katya are very helpful, we even had some figs picked for us a couple of mornings. A very well stocked little shop is 5 min walk away. An excellent restaurant is about 10 mins away. There is a bus, 5A, that can take you to a larger shop, beaches or into Pula. We went on a kayaking adventure and an evening dolphin spotting trip. I highly recommend staying here, it is peaceful, tranquil and the pool is great.

The traditional cottage is very attractive, in a good location in the hills above Icod de los Vinos. Be aware that there is nothing within walking distance, you will need a car, even to go for a coffee. The first warning flag was that everything was an extra charge - bed linen, towels, electricity, cleaning (Ha!). We liaised with the owner over our arrival time by WhatsApp. When we arrived, she was not there, so we contacted her again - she then set off, and we had to wait. She showed us around, several light bulbs were not working, the one in the bathroom just flashed, but she indicated that it would settle down. The next day it failed completely, and we asked for it to be replaced - she said she would have a look. After another day, I had swapped the bulb with another before she finally arrived. She was then satisfied that all was well, although that meant another bulb elsewhere not working (she had not brought a spare with her). There were no cleaning or washing up materials provided - we had to go out and buy washing up liquid, cloths and sponges - which we left, hopefully for the next occupant. The internet was a 4G modem, which provided speeds from 0.16Mbps to a few Mbps on the odd occasion. It didn't work at all for one day. I had expected to be able to use this for working, but had to visit coffee shops. For this unusable service, the charge was €3 per day. It was getting chilly in the evenings, and early mornings, so one morning we plugged in the provided oil filled radiator. Within 10 minutes, all the electricity went off. We contacted the owner, who said it had to be reset outside, and she would come when she had finished work, which was about 6 hours later, so we had to go out. Later we spoke to the couple in the adjoining property, rented from the same owner - they had experienced electricity failing 7 or 8 times in their 4 week stay. Other things in brief - the mattress was thin, hard and uncomfortable. The wicker chairs in the lounge had thin cushions and were uncomfortable (we used the cushions to supplement the bed mattress!). The bed linen and towels were thin and heavily worn. In summary, a lovely cottage in an attractive location, badly spoiled by lack of maintenance and attention to detail.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Patricia’s villa. We had hot weather for Oct so we were able to enjoy being outside & the swimming in the pool. The kitchen is well appointed with a small amount of basics already stocked. We found some of the outdoor furniture to be in tired condition or broken. Patricia explained that as it was the end of her season, it would be replaced for the next high season. Patricia was very helpful suggesting nearby restaurants & grocery stores & places to visit. Overall a fabulous home base for our week in Italy!
