We stayed as a family of 12 in Villa Sura last week (August 2022). The villa is exactly as described and is immaculate in every aspect, finished to a very high specification. The owner met us, even though it was 2am, and gave us a very useful tour of the property, clearly very keen for us to enjoy our stay. The welcome basket was exceptional and just what we needed after a long journey.
The pool and jacuzzi were ideal for the younger members of our party and the rooms in the main building have exceptional views across Kalamar bay. In terms of location, it is quiet but a 20 minute, gentle downhill walk to the main town of Kalkan, I would advise a taxi on the way back (£3). The nearest beach club, Kalamar, is good, with plenty of space, excellent swimming and a diving centre, we walked there too. They provide a free taxi ride back up the hill, which is very steep.
We made good use of the well appointed BBQ area, which was more than able to cope with the meat feast provided for our ever hungry party. Inside, the kitchen has everything you need, plenty of space and a large fridge freezer.
Although Kalkan has changed since Covid, prices have sky rocketed and that lovely warm welcome isn't quite as prevalent as it was, if you are looking to stay, this villa is ideal.
