This review is a little belated, apologies, but here are my thoughts. Villa Angelica Communication with the owner You will likely have found the villa via one of the holiday letting sites such as Trip advisor or similar. It will be via such a site that your communication with the property owner will be initiated. I found all communications to be very clear, friendly and prompt. A pleasant experience from start to finish. Getting to the Villa Villa Angelica is located in the hills overlooking the Gran Sur Mall, in the Roque Del Conde area (Torviscas). The owner will provide more detail during the booking process. I would very strongly suggest a car hire, the surrounding hills are steep and I would estimate the property is at least 1.5 km from the nearest useful amenities. Also, give yourself thinking time for the drive. Even with a satnav the journey up to the villa was a bit tricky, especially since we arrived at night. Do not rush this journey on the first attempt, but you will get used to the journey. If car hire is not an option, as a rough guide a cab will be approximately 7€ to the Gran Sur Mall and perhaps 10€ to the playa (Fanabe). Arrival You will most likely be greeted by a member of the management company for the villa, friendly and knowledgeable, you will be shown around the property and given instructions about such things as operation of the safe, washing and drying machines and also the layout of the property. When we arrived there was a good stock of water in the large fridge and a good selection of basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, herbs and spices, oil, vinegar and some other condiments. If you use milk, suggest picking some up on your way, along with any other essentials - depending on your arrival time. The property management rep will provide you with keys. Have fun getting to know the villa, you will do so with a big smile. The property Outside Villa Angelica is a sizeable property. Completely walled around the outside and with a very good degree of privacy. Outside you will find the pools - very nice indeed, the large pool has a good depth (1.2m to 1.5m I think). Looks fantastic with the lights on at night as well. There is an outside shower to wash before pool entry. There is also a box with water toys and floating toys for fun. There is a very good selection of high quality pool lounger and seating furniture to make outside relaxation and dining very comfortable. Also, if you like BBQ there is a really nice brick built and quite large too. The garden has a mature selection of trees and plants that provide a nice aesthetic element. All really nice and added that extra special touch for the holiday. Inside Once you are in: if you are used to large property you will appreciate VA as a holiday getaway. I have a small house and, for me, VA is a very spacious property that took a couple of hours to properly have a look around and learn about. Even for 5 of us it was still very big, a good thing. The kitchen; has everything you could need, this for me was an important part of the holiday since I’m a big fan of cooking whilst on hols. Very bright with natural light and large enough for a couple of people to be cooking at the same time. The open living and dining area is large, lots of natural light and 2 sets of large patio doors that open onto the rear patios. There is a large tv and plenty of tv channels/streamed tv for you when relaxing. Spacious and comfortable. The ground level bedroom and en-suite is large, comfortable and - importantly - easily accessible if somebody in your group has mobility considerations. Amazing whirlpool bath that everybody loved (especially with a glass of bubbly). On the lower garage level are the washer/dryer, storage and there is a self contained flat, although we didn’t use it, it had everything you could want to eat and sleep comfortably, a good bolt hole if you have a loud snorer you want to escape from🙂. Upstairs, the bedrooms are all on-suite. The master room has a very sizeable balcony with amazing views down to the coast and the Costa Adeje area, cameras at the ready! I especially liked the interesting ceiling and layout in the ‘second’ bedroom. There are plenty more details on here and other holiday rental sites about the specific details. We had very good internet access during the entire stay. In summary A little bit difficult to find first time, but you’ll get used to the journey up. Amazing property with just about everything you will need to live very comfortably and sleep soundly. Easy access for those with limited mobility with a very well appointed ground floor bedroom. The main question, would we go again... OF COURSE WE WOULD. Thank you VA, see you again in the future.
