Beautifully renovated property in the stunning village of Comares in the Andalusia mountains. The property was well equipped and very comfortable. Contact with the owner both prior to the stay & during was excellent, with any issues sorted immediately (we had a power cut but an electrician was sent & it was sorted without it impacting us). The pool is lovely for a refreshing dip. If you want a hideaway away from the hustle and bustle of the city or large touristy areas then this is the place. Vehicles are unable to travel through the village as the roads are too narrow but there are parking areas within walking distance, ideal if you hire a car for exploring the whole surrounding area. We wanted somewhere quiet & peaceful and we got it. The village has several cafe bars/restaurants, a pharmacy, a supermarket and a tobacconist/newsagents. Journey time from Malaga Airport took approximately 1.5hrs, along very steep and windy mountain roads. Definitely worth it for the views!

We had a fantastic stay in José Antonios house. The view is spectacular, the location is the best in the village (close to everything, and still very quiet) and the house is spacious and bright. We enjoyed sitting on the patio by the pool (although January is a very cold month in Comares). All important amenities in the house where in ship shape, the kitchen were great and there are lots of space for social gathering. Most important, the wifi was working perfectly and we could work from the house without problem. The village is very quiet and genuine, the restaurant in the hotel is excellent and we had our coffee and drinks in the local bar everyday. Great hikes around the village and good parking just below the village. We’d love to come back to stay here in the future!
