The unexpected highlight of our stay, the owners Andy and Lyd. They were very warm and welcoming, spending quality time with our grandchildren. Our whole stay was so enjoyable as a result of the environment they created. The gardens were a real bonus, with the art room being a highlight. We took along a travel cot for our 2 year old grandson, as the bunks are more suitable for older children, we knew this in advance. Finally, a great value find.

We had a wonderful stay at Pondicherry, my partner and I and our children loved the gardens and the art shed. Our girls also loved seeing the animals and the bunk beds. Thanks to Andy and Lyd for their hospitality.

Beautiful location and super hosts. The cabin has everything it can for the size. Comfy bed and wildlife on the doorstep. It is as small as it looks and says, so you need to be out as much as possible! We had a lovely week, thank you.

We spent a fantastic week in an authentic, old house with a big garden and a view to die for. The hosts and their pets did their utmost to make our stay as memorable as possible. Definitely a place you would like to return to.

This air bnb is absolutely amazing. The location is immense, the underfloor heating is just delightful, it is so well equipped and comfortable. We just loved it. So many incredible places to explore around - great running and walking routes.

Wonderful. The location is fantastic with great walks from the door. Our children loved the gardens, toys, bunk beds and particularly the art shed which is very special. The flat is warm and comfortable with amazing views. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we would love to visit in summer.

We had a lovely week. The view from the main bed/living room is wonderful even when it’s constantly emerging from rainclouds and disappearing again into fog! A great cosy place to sit and dry off after a walk too (in front of the log burner) and there are great routes straight from the front door. The bunk room is cleverly arranged - probably best suited for kids as you pass through it to reach the main room. Neat little kitchen and bathroom with underfloor heating which we appreciated! Andy and Lyd are extremely friendly, relaxed and accommodating - we felt very at home and would love to return.

Andy and Lyd's cosy little annex nestled on the hillside is just the ticket for a quiet trip away, and they are both super welcoming (not to mention their soppy doggies). We just loved sleeping by the open fire. It's a lovely starlight stroll into town. We had lovely, and very different, meals at Berwicks and La Mensa, and enjoyed a few pints in the Queens Head, and great fish'n'chips form the chippy. In our days we really enjoyed Kielder forest - and would recommend the bird of prey centre, Hadrians Wall - sycamore gap and the ruins nearby, Caster and it's smokehouse and Cragside was stunning even in the drizzle. We can't wait to visit Northumberland, and Rothbury again. And would highly recommend this place as a mini home for your stay.

This place is in a perfect location. Views are breathtaking. The house has everything you need. We have 3 children, varying from 4 - 11 and the bunk beds were perfect for them. Lots of board games and toys for them which was great. There was also a Art hut for the kids and us to do some painting and drawing ect. The owners are really friendly and extremely helpful. Rothbury town is 2min drive , which has everything you need shopping wise. Some lovely walks around Rothbury with some excellent scenery. Looking forward to staying again really soon.

It is an extremely beautiful place with amazing views and a magical garden. Andy and lyd could not have been nicer and our kids had wonderful adventures in the garden and with the toys and books available and we even got them to walk loads!
