Hi, my name is Ruben and I am from the Netherlands. Together with my wife Ingeborg, I have lived in Portugal since January 2020 and never want to leave here. The peace, nature and friendly people move me every day, ever since the first time I set foot on Portuguese soil. Nature is so wonderful, there is always something blooming here. I love maintaining the garden and swimming pool and having a chat with the guests in between. You will therefore see me regularly. In the Netherlands, I was a chef and had my own restaurant. But I never regretted changing my knives for pruning shears. You will see my wife a little less often, who also has an online job and is mainly concerned with advance contacts, administration and housekeeping.
