Great house with its own: Swimming-pool, Jacuzzi and Sauna.
Traditional Canarian Country house, over two hundred years old and in perfect condition. Recently renovated with building materials obtained from the surrounding area. The walls are faced with quarry stones, the roof built with tiles, cane and wood, the floors with cement and restored antique furniture adapted to provide the comfort of a modern house. The house has an interior Canarian Patio with many potted plants, a porch at the entrance and on one of the side wall which divides the house into two areas. On one side is the kitchen-dining area and bathroom. On the other side, an area with a sloping roof where there are two bedrooms and the living room and one lounge as well as all the general service areas. It has an exterior patio measuring one hundred square metres with an area for the barbecue and a wood-fired oven or bread oven.. There is a set of tables and chairs in order to eat barbecued food comfortably, loungers for reading or sunbathing as well as other areas of garden and swimming pool.
La Aldea has a wonderful climate as the temperatures stay the same all year round, between 14o and 28o centigrade. This is inturn permits one to enjoy more than 3,500 hours of sun each year ! The situation of the house also allows you to enjoy the coast with over 33 kms. With small coves whiche are ideal for acuatic sports such as swimming from the beach in La Aldea and Port with its crystal clear war, ideal for sub aqua during, fishing with a rod or from a boat, Kayak, etc. Cross Country walking and cycling are other options, the bicycles in the house are yours to use at no extra cost and we suggest a visit to the Park of Tamadaba, Roque Nublo, The nature reserve at Inagua, the special nature reserve at Güigüi, all beautiful places which are also of great scientific, biological and geological interest. The flora and fauna as well as the wonderful views are also very important.
Amongst the local fauna, the dove, the eagle, the blue pinzón, the red phesasant from La Aldea, the lizards,etc...all stand out.
Amongst the marine and submarine fauna on the coast the vieja, sargo. Moray Eel, Octupus and Shell Fish also are important.
With regard to the Flora, the cardones, tabaibas, Taarajales and juncos which grow in the deep valleys and gorges are important as well as being beautiful. The Palmera Canaria and the Canarian Pine, the hogarzos and the escobones are beautiful trees and bushes growing in the hifher regions.
The Town Council of La Aldea offer a series of guided cultural visits allowing visitors to learn a little about the culture, history and traditions of the island in general and the area nearby.
