A self contained cottage in an idyllic, peaceful location by the unspoiled Longis Beach on the rural Channel Island of Alderney. There are 6 wonderful sandy beaches nearby and plenty of restaurants.
The tiny island of Alderney is one of the UK's best kept secrets, only a 35 minute flight from Southampton, only 9 miles from the coast of Normandy, France, and yet a whole world away and totally unique. Alderney is about 20 miles from the island of Guernsey and 35 miles north of the island of Jersey. The best way to get here is to fly direct from Southampton with Aurigny, on small 19 seater planes, alternatively you an fly via Guernsey from Manchester, Bristol, Stansted or London Gatwick.
The island is 3miles x 1.5 miles in size and it has only 2000 residents who are very friendly and welcoming. There are lots of restaurants and bars for the size of the island and 6 wonderfully empty beautiful sandy beaches. There is an abundance of flora and fauna, lots of world war II bunkers to explore and miles and miles of coastal walks.
The cottage is situated in a rural location at the east end of the island directly opposite Fort Raz and about 200metres from the gorgeous Longis Beach. Accommodating 4 people in two double beds, the cottage has an open plan living/kitchen/dining area and two bathrooms (one with bath and one with shower). The cottage is well equipped with everything you need to have a relaxing holiday away, really unwind and re-charge the batteries.
