Featuring a cosy cottage aesthetic that oozes sophistication, Casa Tipica accommodates up to six guests across two double bedrooms, with the addition of a sumptuous sofa bed.

The interior really is a joy to behold, with a light, neutral decor throughout with high, wooden-beamed ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and doors and numerous balconies to really showcase those incredible sea and mountain views. Set over three spacious floors, Casa Tipica features everything you and your family will need to enjoy the most memorable of holidays, including comfortable lounge areas with large corner sofas, beautifully textured soft furnishings, warming pellet fireplaces, handsomely crafted furniture, and flatscreen TVs. The villa offers spaces for relaxation and contemplation, as well as ample room to dine together, and a large well-equipped kitchen featuring high-end appliances, including a washing machine and dryer - perfect if you want to pack lighter and leave room in your suitcase for souvenirs.

The villa’s separate, cosy living spaces make Casa Tipica a first-rate choice for groups of friends or families holidaying together, giving the option of privacy when needed, and two stylish and modern bathrooms make living arrangements extra convenient. The bedrooms are decorated to the same high standard as the living areas, with high-quality furnishings, fresh, light decor and those stunning beamed ceilings. Casa Tipica features an equally impressive outdoor space, with a large, fully furnished patio terrace, barbecue area and several furnished balconies - ideal for alfresco meals, pre-dinner drinks, reading, sunbathing, and the list goes on. The jewel in this villa’s incredible crown is the covered and climatised shared pool - a surreal and magical experience to enjoy while holidaying in this incredible mountain region. Casa Tipica is situated in the village of São Jorge in the municipality of Santana. São Jorge, which is a land of unique landscapes, is also interesting in relation to the natural and historical heritage.

Those who visit the parish can take the opportunity to get to know Serragem da Achadinha. It was considered to be a Monument of Local Value by the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC) since 1998. Located in the Sítio da Achadinha this sawmill offers you the possibility to observe ‘on-site' a watermill and water-powered saw, which show how the population used the driving force of the water for their livelihood.

In Calhau de São Jorge you can find the Primitive Core of the parish of São Jorge. These ruins belong to the old sugar cane mills that were built there in the early settlement. This nucleus is classified as a Monument of Municipal Interest since 2003, because of its historical relevance.

You must also visit the lighthouse of São Jorge, in Sítio da Vigia. Apart from serving as a guide for marine navigation, it is a very popular place for visitors. Also stop off at the viewpoint of Pico and indulge yourself with a panoramic view over the parishes of São Jorge and Santana.

São Jorge has, as a monument of great interest, its parish church. Built in 1761, this temple is considered the landmark of the architectural heritage of the Municipality because it is the largest Baroque church in the region. Apart from its great size, its interior has an altar in gilded woodwork and a fine collection of paintings. This Church is considered a Monument of Local Value by the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC), since 1995.
