The villa is located in the small and rural village of Codeseda in Galicia.
This region is known for its green landscapes, wild beaches and is an area rich in tradition, history and culture. Galicia is different from the usual Spanish holiday destinations; it is becoming more and more popular and it is said that this is where you can experience the real Spain. Galicia has a mild climate and a similar amount of rainy days as the United Kingdom, the summers are mainly dry. The region is ideal for cycling and hiking with an abundant number of different routes to choose from. It is located forty minutes from Santiago Airport and one hour from Vigo Airport. This villa offers ample indoor and outdoor space, it can accommodate over twenty guests making it ideal for large family gatherings or for a large group of friends to get away together.
It is a spacious villa that stills manages to give you a cosy and homely vibe, it has a lovely rustic décor with exposed stone walls throughout. In the main house there are seven bedrooms, three double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, two twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms, two double rooms with a shared bathroom. The property has a child's cot and there are also four extra beds available on request. This villa also has the option to hire out an apartment which is part of the same building and has additional rooms, one double room with en-suite and one twin room with en-suite. The apartment has its own kitchen and living room area too, great for anyone that wants that little bit of extra privacy. If you choose not to rent the additional apartment don't worry it will not be rented to any other guests so the property remains private for your own use.
This villa comes with lots of great features such as a fully equipped kitchen, a large lounge area with a fireplace and a large balcony with garden and countryside views. The beautiful large garden is surrounded by palm and fruit trees and has a barbecue and outdoor dining area for you to use, great for those long summer evenings. The 10 x 5 metre pool has loungers and umbrellas available so all you need to think about is sitting back and relaxing. Some lovely little outdoor perks include a table tennis table, a swing set, small basketball area and two adult bikes and two children's bikes.
Our Villa has on street parking and free Wi-Fi available and is one of the few properties that welcomes pets so you can really bring the whole family!

It is located in the Galician province of Pontevedra which is known for its traditional fish and seafood dishes and it's vineyards and wineries. The Villa is located in the quiet and small rural town of Codeseda, this charming little town is surrounded by countryside views and rivers making a lovely place for a long hike or a leisurely walk. In the town itself you will find a butcher, a bakery, a cafe, a bar, a local shop and a church.
The city of Pontevedra is the capital of Pontevedra province and is located fifty minutes’ drive from the villa. This city is located in its own bay and is divided by the river Lerez, Pontevedra is known for its well-preserved historical city centre. Some of the top attractions include the Ruínas de San Domingos, the ruins of a 14th century Dominican convent, and the 18th century rounded Church of Peregrina, this church is devoted to the Pilgrim Virgin who watches over those walking the Camino route from Portugal. Finally, don't miss out on Pontevedras main church, the 16th century Basílica de Santa María a Maior, this beautiful church has a mix of styles including Gothic, Plateresque and Manueline. These are only a few of the town's features, there are plenty of shops, restaurants, museums, other historical sites and the local fish market – you can easily spend the whole day exploring!
Santiago de Compostela is definitely the city that springs to mind when you mention Galicia, located only a forty-minute drive from the villa it's a city you shouldn't miss. The historical city centre is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site and is the final stop of the incredible Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail. It can be quite an emotional experience to watch the pilgrims follow the last of the route's scalloped shells and finally reach the end of their epic journey. To get an idea of what it is like why not walk a short part of the Camino, there are many places where you can pick up the trail. Other sites that can't be missed are the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, Obradoiro Square and San Martiño Pinario monastery. While in town why not treat yourself to some local delicacies, Pulpo a la Gallega which is a simple dish of boiled octopus cut in to pieces served with olive oil and smoked paprika with a glass of Albariño Galician white wine which goes perfectly with seafood. For something a little sweeter try the famous Tarta de Santiago, a desert made with almonds, flour, eggs and sugar usually finished off with a decorative powdered sugar shape of the famous cross of St. James.
There are two fantastic beaches one hour’s drive from the villa. Moltalvo Beach has fine sand and is surrounded by beautiful wooded areas with pine trees. There are facilities to rent sunbeds and umbrellas and restaurants and bars in the area. The waves are moderate and it can get windy which makes the area great for water sports, there are also lifeguards on duty. Lanzada beach is one of Galicias most famous beaches it is a long 2km beach with clear water and fine white sand with sand dunes and green surroundings. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes to choose from along the beach. This area is popular for surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing.
