Located on the west coast of the Machars Peninsula, Port William is an undiscovered gem in a tranquil corner of South West Scotland. An extremely quiet fishing village where it is possible to visit the small harbour to purchase freshly caught seafood straight off the boat.
This delightful cottage with sea views has a veranda to sit out and enjoy the view across Luce Bay and towards the Mull of Galloway.
The open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area are light and airy with French doors to the veranda. The double bedroom also has sea views.
The verandah , which looks down on a lovely landscaped garden, has the sun from 10am until it is time to watch and enjoy the spectacular sunsets.
The cottage is located on a private cul de sac and has its own off road parking. Country walks start at the end of the road and can be as short or as long as take your fancy. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. Leave your car at home if you like, though parking is plentiful and free.
There are many places of historical interest in the area which are worthy of exploring, from neolithic stone circles to early Christian pilgrimage destinations.. The Galloway forest, with its Dark Skies and Deer Park is approximately 20 miles away and is well worth a visit.
