Vaison-la-Romaine (24km) has a rich historical past with an outdoor Roman theatre as well as plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops, bakeries and supermarkets. This whole region is a paradise for wine aficionados with local Côte du Rhône varietals from Vaison and charming villages such as Roaix and Cairanne, well worth visiting for a tasting.

It has been the home of French nougat since the 1700s, now made in modern factories as well as small ateliers using the old methods.
