The property is situated west of the city in the Vergas region, just a short drive from Kalamata. Its expansive gardens, which are flanked by farmland, provide something to appreciate on many different levels. An outdoor patio area with comfortable seating is close to a large swimming pool and sun terrace.
There is still much more to come, but taken together, this makes a terrific place for entertaining. Another beautiful terrace that is level with the home's upper floor is accessible by ascending a few stairs. A large grill and a roomy dining area may be found here.
The tennis court and a children's play area are just a few more steps away. This villa stands out thanks to its remarkable layout, and we haven't even entered it yet.
The interiors are equally stunning, with a sizable open-plan living and dining space that opens to a sizable balcony patio and has a fantastic view of the sea. This chicly furnished room is located on the same floor as a fully functional kitchen.
The home has four bedrooms, each independently and colourfully decorated with an en suite bathroom, and can accommodate up to eight people. These rooms are spread out over two floors, with one in a separate, adjacent annexe that has its own door but is still part of the main home. You can also use the gym, billiards table, table tennis, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi throughout the facility.

Greece’s Costa Navarino combines spectacular beaches with lovely countryside and lots of history, and is an enchanting area to explore. You won’t find a better place to enjoy some outdoor activities, and there are many organised tours based around cycling, hiking, Nordic walking and similar. Climbing, scuba-diving, snorkelling and tennis are among the other sports you should have no trouble finding.
Perhaps an even bigger draw is the area’s many historical gems. Ancient Messini dates back to 369 BC, and its well-preserved fortification walls extend for miles. The Temple of Apollo at Bassae is one of the country’s finest examples of classical architecture, while the elaborate Palace of Nestor offers a fascinating insight into Mycenaean times. All or any of these iconic sites are well worth a visit, with some comparing Messini to the more famous Olympia. You will find the remains of an amphitheatre, stadium and mausoleum there, among others.
The area’s natural beauty is just as impressive, with lakes, waterfalls, vineyards and olive groves all contributing to a rich landscape. The Gialova lagoon is one of Europe’s most important wetlands and sees bird-lovers flocking to it, while the distinctive loop shape and sand dunes of Voidokilia Beach have led to it being called one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful.
The coastal city of Kalamata is famed for its olive production, but its culinary offering stretches much further – you will find plenty of cafés and bakeries serving up sweet Messinian specialities, and restaurants getting creative with traditional dishes of the region. The city’s castle often hosts theatrical performances and, each July, the Kalamata International Dance Festival comes to town. The city’s historic quarter also plays host to museums of archaeology and traditional Greek costume.
