Start off in nearby Gordes, one of the most famous villages in Provence, with its winding lanes, wonderful restaurants, atmospheric weekly market and artistic vibe – look out for cultural events across the year.

Then there’s the lavender fields of Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque, the antique stores and waterways of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and even the historic city of Avignon within an hour. That’s if you’re not mesmerised by the beauty of the Luberon with its archetypal perched villages, rolling hills, dense woodland and vineyards.
