VILLA EL TORCAL, La Higuera, Villanueva de La Concepcion.

The main villa has a master bedroom with King bed, an en suite twin bedroom and a further twin bedroom. There are two double sofa beds in the lounge, one further bed can be added,and there are two cots. For large groups, there is a new self contained apartment on the first floor. This is only available along with the main villa.
SORRY NOW NOT READY UNTIL MID OCTOBER 2020 (CORONA)! It has two bedrooms, a sofa bed in a small lounge and a shower room, tea and coffee facilities with refrigerator and private outside space. The price is an additional (£) 252 per week, sleeps up to 7.
The Villa is in the Hamlet of La Higuera, within the National Park of El Torcal, a rock formation once under the sea and was inhabited by dinosaurs, having a free visitor centre and a spectacular wildlife reserve.
La Higuera has two shops and a tapas bar,( refurbished for 2020) the main shop is also open on a Sunday. The play park with tennis, table tennis, football, basketball and childrens swings, gym and slides, is opposite the villa. Directly from the villa are plenty of various walks and an information site providing details to local history and what wildlife to look out for on each walk. So to from the top of El Torcal, but you will need to drive there, unless you are professionals! It is possible to get to the El Torcal summit directly on foot from the villa. La Joya, is a small town 2km from the villa and has five tapas bars / restaurants, a couple of shops, chemist and bakeries, one of which will deliver fresh bread and pastries daily to you if required. Also La Joya boasts the hotel Fuente del Sol, which has spectacular views, horse riding and various pamper treatments are available to non residents, as is the restaurant and cafe. Villanueva de la Concepcion, the town of El Torcal, is 6km away and has many shops, banks and tapas bars/ restaurants etc. The villa comes fully equipped, including WIFI, Bluetooth sound system, which also takes a USB so bring your own music!, it also has switchable speakers for outside. All bedrooms have air conditioning. Newly installed this year is a new water heating system, so there is plenty of pressurised hot water- yes, in Spain! It is a 200ltr tank, we also have a 1000ltr reserve tank. SO ALL THE WATER PRESSURE ISSUES ARE NOW ADDRESSED! The villa has two pushchairs, high chairs, cots and door gate if needed. For winter guests there is a log burner with logs available from the local shop. There are plenty of shaded areas around the villa, and a pergola near the pool. Ample seating, tables and loungers are provided, so to is an outside cooking ring and barbecue. The TV has Spanish tv and an Amazon fire stick, so you can get netflix etc, for live UK TV you will need a VPN. The villa has an array of wonderful flowers and fruit and vegetables, all for your use, these include, bay tree, various herbs, lemons, oranges, apples, grapes,pears, plums,lettuce, onions, tomatoes,broad beans, peppers,artichoke and melon. At the rear of the garden is a chicken coop, so fresh eggs are also available. A twenty minute drive takes you to Lobo Park, a wolf sanctuary and visitor centre, the ancient capital of Antequera is a must visit, 10 minutes further on from Lobo Park. In Fuente de Piedra there is the largest flamingo colony in Europe, the Spanish lakes and El Chorro gorge are close by, the coast is a one hour drive.
