The First Saturday and Sunday of each month one of the most important Antiquities Fair takes place in Arezzo.
In Arezzo is also organized twice a year the famous ”Joust of the Saraceno” an historical commemoration dating to the XIV century that takes place twice a year in the Piazza Grande. The traditional joust is celebrated on the first Sunday of September, and a "minor" edition on the second last Saturday of June precedes it. It takes its origin from the training of soldiers who exercised with a machine while riding a horse. This machine symbolizes the enemy of the Christian paladin par excellence paladin: the "Saracino", namely the Arab soldier.
The Natural Reserves of “Valle dell’Inferno e Bandella” and “Ponte Buriano e Penna” will also give visitors the opportunity to explore this area natural environment through quite a few charming itineraries.
Rural roads along the river Arno are an ideal place for touring and cycling.
