If you want to find peace away from the big tourist streams in a dreamlike environment and still not want to be secluded, Villa Montemar is the right place for you. Magnificent view of mountains and the sea included. The pool and the terrace are wonderful, the interior but partly quite "dusty".

The Villa Montemar in the mountains above Torrox Pueblo overlooking Frigiliana and the mountain ranges east of it as well as on the bay of Nerja to the Cerro Gordo lives up to its name. We especially enjoyed the outdoor area and the tranquility far away from tourism. The interior of the house is well furnished in the style of many Spanish country houses. Here and there something could be modernized. But everything is clean and you can feel good. The pool is well maintained and also offers a great view. But there is no non-swimmer area and no heating of the pool. The landlady was very friendly. She picked us up at an agreed meeting point at the motorway exit and steered us to the house.

The stay is beautifully situated, well maintained and well cared for. A downside is that the beds are no longer usable, seem to come from last century and also the cushions for the loungers are in need of replacement. For the rest enjoyed a pleasant stay, would recommend once the negatives are resolved!
