This is an excellent beach for families with a good restaurant/snack bar and water sports/boat trips offered. The famous seven hanging valleys walking trail starts at Centeanes beach and it well worth the effort for the views of the magnificent coastline.
Within a short drive there are several excellent golf courses including Gramacho. It is also possible to walk to Vale do Milho which is a 9 hole par three course which welcomes all ages and abilities so a great activity for all the family.
