About

I was born and brought up in Nice and spent most of my holiday youth in Provence, Aquitaine and Brittany. This has helped tremendously understand what is important about each region of France, what makes a property special and how best to promote it. If a property makes it to our range it simply means that the background work and checks have been carried out and that I am happy to send clients there. As a matter of fact I have holidayed in many of our villas of the years! Having worked in the holiday rental sector for twenty years for Tour Operators and Travel Agencies including French Life Holidays, Rent Villas France and for the last seven years at Select Villas this has allowed me to gain a great deal of experience and knowledge in the wonderful world of holiday property letting across France. I understand how important client's holidays are and this is why I want to ensure that all villas in our range are visited either by myself or by one of the trusted local agents we work with. Clients can therefore book their holiday with peace of mind knowing that the property they will stay in has been vetted, that they can book with confidence and enjoy their special time in France.

We have just returned from a perfect stay in this villa. We were a family of 7. The owners are very lovely and helpful people. We requested cushions for the sunbeds around the pool as they were hard to lay on and became very hot in the sun and the owners bought some for us the next day. The villa location is great, no car is needed as there are many restaurants, supermarkets, shops and the marina within a 15 minute walk. The villa is very well designed, 4 good sized bedrooms, all with bathrooms. We would definitely recommend this villa and will be booking it again.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Kastell. Everything was perfect in the villa, especially the new kitchen was a joy. We have to come back one day!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Mooloolooba. It had all that we required. The pool table was great, as was the swimming pool. It was great to get away to that part of France, very French, even though it was only for a week. I found the whole process of booking with your company very simple and your assistance throughout to be most helpful. Many thanks.

It’s a privilege to be able to stay at Villa Littoral. It’s difficult to explain, but I’ll try. The house is a lovely place to stay, but that’s not why it’s such a privilege. It’s more about the location of the house. The house sits on a small promontory of rocks. It is secluded from the rest of the town. There is sea to 3 sides and an omnipresent sound of the sea. The house is an L shape and wraps around the terrace which in turn has panoramic views over the ocean. The terrace is sheltered and beautiful. The garden is pleasant, but within it are steps that go down. Through a steel door, there is then access to a private beach. It’s really a cove that is cut off from the main beach at anything other than low tide. Almost nobody makes it around the rocks and so the beach is all your own. In the morning for breakfast, during the day and in the evening. Swimming in the bay is beautiful and the water was crystal clear on the days we were there. The water is cold, but not so cold that it’s uncomfortable. We swam a Km or so each day. Around the Villa is a pleasant town. Food is easy to get. Moulin Vert serves excellent moules frites with beer. We cycle extensively and there were lovely roads and towns to visit. We also visited Glenan Archipelago. It’s a boat ride from Concarneau. It’s a set of islands with perfect white sands and blue water. It’s much like visiting the Maldives for a day. Just get the right day. We hired kayaks and paddled our way around empty beaches and swam through clear blue waters. The pictures you can see of the house simply don’t prepare you for how lovely this is. You have no idea of the private beach, the terrace views or the ever-present sound of the sea.

We had a very nice time in France, thanks. Everything worked well. The villa was as described and met our needs very well, very relaxing environment. All the information provided was helpful and made the visit easy. Overall very good place for us to stay and an excellent break.

We had a great time thanks. It was very enjoyable and the house was perfect for us. We then went to Brittany for a week and the kids were asking if we could go back to Villa Acacia instead.

The people that ran the place seemed very warm, friendly and helpful, and so did everyone in the entire area. Having spent holidays in Italy and Spain most recently, the contrast in hospitality from all of the people we met in the Vendee was very stark indeed. Our villa suited us perfectly, it exceeded our expectations in a lot of areas, especially the surprise boules alley at the side of the house. It was very well equipped, we did not want for anything at all, a lot of equipment had been donated by previous occupants such as wetsuits, inflatables, surf boards. The local town Sables d’Olonnes was just perfect for us to eat out, shop, or go on the beach. Honestly, I was so impressed with the whole thing. My dealings with you, Christophe, have always been friendly, there was no confusion at all, you were able to answer my questions with patience. All good. My advice to anybody looking to travel from the UK to the Vendee would be to stop at Bayeux, maybe for a day, but at least for half a day. It’s 3.5 hours from the tunnel, and 4.5 from the Vendee so it adds a little bit on to the journey but it’s a great place to stop around the half way mark. This is what we did on our return journey. You also miss out Rouen which we needed to do due to the low emissions zone.

The sea view and proximity was the particular seller for us. All (unsurprisingly) very positive. It’s a great house in a great location – not just the view and private beach access but also in terms of walking into the village and along the coast. The open plan downstairs was excellent. Select Villas and the key holder’s service and support was excellent – particularly our early start on Saturday (we left at 5am). Many thanks.

We had a lovely time at the villa. It was generally very clean and really spacious for a party of 10. We would recommend the villa as a rural holiday, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you so much for all your help in organised it. I would highly recommend Select Villas and if we were to go back to France again we would definitely use you again.

You have been a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. A lovely experience with Select Villas. The house had much to commend it. Outdoor seating was great and there were lots of sun loungers. But it is Brittany not the med so weather can’t be guaranteed. There are some lovely decorative touches and I love the boat theme. The lady who let us in did tell us which days were market days in which places which was really helpful. Proximity to the beach was fantastic. The children loved the access to the beach and watching the tide encroach on the private steps from the cave. I fell in love with the outdoor photos and had fond memories of Brittany and booked.
