Clickstay provides tools for you to find detailed information about the property and its owner. We recommend that you always read the information provided on the property page carefully before making a booking.

If you are unsure about anything regarding the property or the owner's legitimacy, here are some tips to ensure you have chosen a reliable property and owner;

• Read verified reviews from previous renters. The date they stayed at the property is displayed at the top of each verified review. If there are no reviews, ask the owner if they've got reviews on other platforms;
• Look at the owner information; the date they joined, their response rate and time;
• Cross reference information about the property and check details carefully;
  • Photos, property description, facilities;
• We strongly recommend that you contact the owner on the property page using our secure messaging system, to introduce yourself and ask any questions you have;
• If the property has links to other platforms, you can check out reviews there too.

If an owner asks you to pay by bank transfer we recommend that you don't, simply because then your payments are not protected as they are if you pay by credit or debit card.
